Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 31st July 2025 Written Episode Update: Maira Refuses to Accept Abhira as Her Mother, Saying Only Geetanjali is Her Mother!

The episode starts with Abhira getting heartbroken again as Maira has asked her to tie shoelaces just like Geetanjali used to. While Kiara denies meeting Abhir, and while Abhir says he has canceled his wish, without her forgiveness, he is not leaving, as it was Charu's last wish. Anshuman notices that Abhira is disheartened; he goes to talk to her. Abhira says she was feeling lost, and she called Armaan asking to take away Maira, but she realized it is all Armaan's fault. It will take time and effort, but she will win Maira's trust gradually.

While Abhira brings the breakfast, the whole family is trying to make Maira feel special. As Abhira is feeding Maira, she will again point out to make her eat like Geetanjali; she says she doesn't eat this, while Geetanjali has refused to eat anything, saying she wants her daughter. Daddu reminds her that she is not her daughter, while Armaan has cooked food just like Maira likes. Geetanjali tastes it and says Maira would have loved this. Armaan asks her to eat for Maira; he goes to bring water, Daduu expresses gratitude, and Armaan says he is responsible for the pain of two mothers and says Abhira might have suffered most—first BPV, then Daksh, and then Maira—and he did wrong with Abhira and says he won't leave Geetanjali alone.

While Getanjali says she can't sit idle and needs to bring back Maira home, Abhira has cooked fresh food for Maira just how she likes it, and Anshuman says he will eat the paratha when he goes to pick up Tanya for her pagphera ritual. Abhira brings some gifts that are required for the ritual, Anshuman shows gratitude, and he leaves, saying if she has any problem to call him.

While Maira is being very picky, as the paratha doesn't taste like his father's hand, he refuses to eat, and Abhira says she will make something else. While Vidya talks to Maira, saying if they go to a new school, they will feel scared, and Maira is brave, and she will try new things, and she might like that. Maira agrees to eat, saying she needs to meet her father and eat from his hand. Vidya says to eat her mother's hand food once. Maira refuses, saying Abhira is not her mother, Geetanjali will be her mother, and Abhira is just a cute aunty, and she needs Armaan and Geetanjali. Maira repeats that she wants to go to her mother and father, and Abhira gets heartbroken again.

While Krish is recalling Tanya's insults, as he is handed some bills of marriage, he gets angry, but the staff says now his manager is not here, so he will only have to handle them. Whereas Armaan has sent some parcels to Abhira's house, Maira gets excited and opens them joyfully. When they try to help her, she says it is for her and she will open it. Maira gets excited seeing her old things, but soon that box catches fire. Abhira risks it all to save Maira's toys, saying to Maira that she has saved everything.

Abhira was hoping that Maira would hug her, but she just thanks her and takes the toys and runs away. Abhira gets disheartened again. Kaveri says to apply medicine on wounds, and Vidya asks her to stop, saying she will take care of Abhira. Vidya says she will take the responsibility that Maira calls Abhira mother., Abhira denies it, saying she won't force her, and she wants Maira to accept her from the heart and not forcefully. They say this is a difficult way, but Abhira has made up her mind but says she will need help from them in one thing.
