Legendary Kannada Comedy Actor Bank Janardhan Passes Away

The legendary Kannada comedy actor Bank Janardhan passes away today, April 14th, Monday, at a private hospital in Bengaluru.

It is reportedly said that he had been battling prolonged illness and was admitted due to multi-organ complications in Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru. He reportedly took his last breath around 2:30 am.

Bank Janardhan was a veteran actor who did some amazing and significant work. Born in 1948, Bank Janardhan was a trained theater actor before entering television and films.

Bank Janardhan has some great series under his name; some of them are Papa Pandu, Mangalya Jokali, and Robo Family.

In 1985 he debuted in films with Pitamaha, the KL Swamy-directed.

In his prolific career, he has featured in more than 500 movies. The actor had suffered a heart attack in 2023. The mortal remains of Bank Janardhan will be kept at his residence in Sulthanpalya for public homage.

Bank Janardhan had a massive career, but after several hits and fame, he gradually distanced himself from films after 2016. He remained connected to the industry with roles in Mata (2022) and Undenama (2023).

The late actor’s last remains will be placed at his residence in Sultanpalya, Bengaluru, for public viewing and final respects today from 10 am onwards.
