We saw in the last episode that Bhusan asks her to promise to never sing.

Tejaswini is torn as her dreams are at stake. She defends herself, saying she thought they would encourage her, and even cousins asked her to sing; that's why she did. She says even Rituraj is a singer.

Bhusan is adamant he says he doesn't care; he only cares that she will have to follow the rules. He says about Ritu that he is not a family member; he is Leena's sister's son. Bhushan's taunts are directed towards Neil's uncle. Ritu speaks up that at least he will be able to say that he lived like he wanted.

Rituraj says Tejaswini will never listen, as her father also wanted her to be a singer, and even though she is doing an MA in music, Leena taunts Tejaswini and says to drop the studies.

She requests them not to look down upon her profession; she makes them understand that singing is as pure and respectable as any other profession. She requests them not to insult her parents.

Leena loses her cool and asks her to behave. Neil intervenes and asks them to stop talking; Leena says, For a girl, he is asking her to keep quiet.

He says to Bhushan that he has promised Tejaswini to fulfill her dreams, and he will not break his promise.

Bhushan reminds Neil that only his decisions work in this household, and he has made his decision.

Leena says to Neil that whatever magic this mother and daughter had done on him, he has forgotten everything.

Neil receives a call; it is from Mukta. She asks if she wants to talk to Leena for a ritual. Neil gives the phone to Leena, and she talks rudely to Mukta. Hurting Tejaswini more, calling Tejaswini a cunning woman.

Tejaswini takes the call and says that she will never come to that house again. Neil says to her that they will come. Rituraj wonders how come Neil has so much guts all of a sudden.

Mukta is disheartened with Leena and Teju's behavior.

Neil is torn between marriage and family; he takes a stand for Tejaswini. Whereas Tejaswini is crying, she refuses to go back to that house; they all convince her to go.

Tejaswini comes to her room; she is broken, and she keeps on crying. Neil comes; he doesn't know how to comfort her. She is broken as nobody cares about her; all want their work to be done.

Neil is helpless, but he apologizes to her, saying he understands her. Tejaswini feels like if her father were here, he would have saved her. Neil tries to cheer up Tejaswini by asking her to meet her family. She says she will go but just for him, as he has supported her family in tough times.

Neil questions that she doesn't even consider her husband, then why this? We see a trust brewing between them.

The next morning, as someone compliments her, Rituraj hijacks the conversation. Leena taunts Tejaswini that she is going; she says she is going because Neil has said that, Leena says as if she listens to Neil's word. They question if Tejaswini has yet considered Neil as her husband.
