Aarti Wife of Actor Ravi Mohan Files a Petition of Rs 40 Lakh Monthly Alimony

In recent events, Aarti, amidst the ongoing divorce case, has demanded a alimony of Rs 40 lakh per month. The couple appeared before the Chennai Family Court, where both filed their respective petitions.

The case first came into the limelight when both Ravi and Aarti were seen using social media to accuse each other. Ravi and Arti got married in 2009.

This has been going on for months now, and fans and audiences are hooked on the story and gossip. Amidst that their divorce processiding are ongoing in the Chennai Family Welfare Court since last September, when Ravi initiated divorce proceedings.

The divorce gain made news as, after appearing before the Chennai Family Court on Wednesday, that is, on 21st May, actor Ravi Mohan and his estranged wife, Aarti, filed individual petitions.

While Ravi stated that he has no intention of continuing the marriage, Aarti sought monthly alimony of Rs 40 lakh. In the court hearing on May 21, Ravi stated divorce and urged the court to reject Aarti’s plea for cohabitation. The judge advised both parties to reconsider their petitions and adjourned the matter until June 12.

Whereas, on May 20, Aarti had claimed involvement of a third person, saying she even had proof against it. She wrote, “None of these are why our marriage suffers. There is a third person in our marriage. What broke us wasn’t something between us—it was someone outside. The ‘light of your life’ brought only darkness to ours. That’s the truth.”

Though Aarti didn't name anyone, the statements point towards Keneeshaa. She called out the ‘light of my life’ statement that Ravi had made about Keneeshaa. This indirectly points towards Keneeshaa.

Ravi and Aarti had been married for 15 years, as they got married in the yearyear 2009,, but it was in 2024 that Ravi made itlear that he neededed a divorcece, and the couple's social media battle was quite evident.

In the meantime, Ravi’s friendship with singer Keneeshaa Francis has been in the news, and what fueled this was when he stepped out with her officially at producer and entrepreneur Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh’s daughter’s wedding in Chennai last week.
